Booktalk Thursday—Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson

Tucked into a small corner of the ocean, Neverland is incredibly difficult to find. It’s a deadly place inhabited by natives, pirates, faeries, mermaids and lost boys.
Bold, daring Tiger Lily is filled with dread as her impending arranged marriage draws near. Giant, her future husband, is cruel and overbearing. While there seems to be no escaping her future, Tiger Lily frequently escapes the confines of her village for the wild forest. This is where she encounters Peter Pan—a handsome, charming young man and loses her heart. Peter shares her feelings, at least until Wendy arrives all golden curls and dirt-free perfection. Heartbroken, Tiger Lily makes a pact with Peter’s nemeses—the pirates—which may just prove deadly…
Told from the perspective of Tinker Bell (the ultimate guide to Neverland), this tale casts new light on the Peter Pan story. It’s an irresistible mix of adventure and romance ready to ensnare readers in the depths of its pages.

Capt. Hook: the adventures of a notorious youth by James Hart—visit Neverland again!
The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor—for another twist on a classic tale (Alice in Wonderland)

Booktalk Thursday—The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith

statistical probability love.jpg

Hadley is four minutes too late for her flight to England, which means she’ll have to wait for the next one. She just might miss her father’s wedding. It’s been a long time since she has seen her dad—he moved to England to fulfill lifelong dreams and fell in love with someone else. And now everyone expects Hadley stand up in the wedding for his bride—a woman she’s never met (whom she’s sure she’ll despise) with a smile plastered on her face. Assuredly, the smile will be fake. She’s not entirely unhappy that she missed the flight.
Biding her time until the next flight, Hadley meets Oliver. The attraction is instantaneous (and mutual). Luckily for Hadley, he is traveling on the same flight. They’ll have about eight hours to spend with each other, just enough time to really fall for each other before saying goodbye.
This serendipitous meeting, this twist of fate just might change everything for Hadley. One plane ride could change her whole world. Love can find you when you least expect it.
Romance fans, this one is for you.
