Parents & Teachers

The Parent & Teacher collection is located in the Youth Services area so parents can look for materials while their children are nearby – and teachers can gather youth materials and professional reading at the same time.
Recent publications on methodology, child development and child rearing, issues in education, strategies and even reproducibles are available for checkout.
Assignment Alert and Teacher Loan forms are available online or at the Answers Desk at the Library. Teacher Loans are available for home-schooling parents, as well.
Bring your group to visit the library! With a month’s notice, we can provide library tours, electronic resource orientation, special programs, or book talks for your class, home-school group, or scout troop. If you have questions about these services, please contact the Youth Services Department at 630–232–0893 or SchoolServices@geneva.lib.il.us
The Geneva Public Library District wants to keep children safe on the Internet. We have included a link to How Safe is Safe? an online brochure produced by the DuPage Library System listing annotated Internet Safety Websites. This brochure includes sites rated by age appropriateness. We encourage you to visit this site and reproduce the brochure for your home and/or classroom.
