Get a Library Card


Online applications are available below which you can fill out online, then print and bring in to the Check-In Desk to complete the process to get your card.

Online Application for Adults (18 years and older)
Online Application for Youth (under 18 years of age)
Online Application for Business Owners

Adult applicants must be present to receive or update library card.

Residents

All residents of the Geneva Public Library District are entitled to a library card. Whether you fill out the online application or apply for one at the Library you will need to provide a photo ID and one piece of identification that verifies your identity and residence.

The following documents containing your name and address will be accepted as verification:

        Driver's license (if address is current, this is all you need)
        Current utility bill
        Current property bill
        Printed check or current bank statement
        Real estate papers or lease

A parent or legal guardian must sign the application for an applicant under 18 and must be present to verify residency within the Library District.

Property Owners

Persons who own property but do not reside within the Library District may apply for a card with photo ID and a current property tax bill.

Geneva Business Owners

Geneva business owners who lease a commercial property may apply for a Geneva Public Library District card by bringing in a photo ID and one of the following to the Check In Desk:
         Current business lease
         Current business utility bill
         Business checkbook

The card is good for one year from the date of issue.

Non-Residents

Non-residents of the Library District who reside within the Geneva School District may obtain a card for a determined fee.

KEEP IT SAFE: Borrowers are responsible for all materials charged on their card. Lost or stolen cards should be reported immediately to prevent unauthorized use.
